St. Michael Education Centre - Kiwanga [SMECK] was founded on February 22, 2016 as a small Pre- and Primary school based on the Uganda National Curriculum. Today it offers an inspiring and all-round education to pupils aged from 2-13 years.
SMECK has a rich environment, with friendly, loving peers, caring teachers and much more. We welcome children to join our Daycare centre, Nursery and primary school to become part of our family, learning, playing and supporting one another. We emphasize each pupil as an individual, sensitively monitoring his or her progress academically and socially. The success of our pupils is our delight and plight.
The centre has evolved considerably over the last three years and has undertaken an ambitious programme of expansion and development. It is a purposefully built school with reasonable facilities to begin with. The school premises are conducive and visitors always acknowledge the warm and vibrant atmosphere of the centre. SMECK is a safe haven for pupils / parents and provides a stimulating environment that informs and inspires the whole school community fostering happiness and motivated learners.
It is developing into one of the leading learning centres to be sought of in Uganda a few years to pass by. We are committed to doing everything possible on earth to achieve high academic standards and life skills to harness and cause a fundamental change in character formation of the young children and staff. At SMECK , our belief is that all children regardless of their backgrounds have the potential to excel and become the pillars of nations provided they are expertly molded.
The school maintains its aims and teaching philosophy of Born to excel.
We therefore leave no stone unturned when it comes to nurturing our future leaders. Each pupil is religiously encouraged and supported in Sports, Music, Dance and Drama as a significant part of her or his life at SMECK. Children are given the chance to commit themselves and try different things giving them opportunity to enjoy themselves, explore their hidden potentials and develop their talents.
Our focus is to develop a close partnership with all stakeholders especially the parents in supporting the children both morally and spiritually so our aim is to approach their teenage life intellectually when prepared to become men and women of substance who are able to contribute and live happily and meaningful lives.
